High, wondering if any one could give me some advice. My car SLK230 98 had would no open from the remote key, thus I opened the door manually causing the alarm to go off. This stopped after a while but the dash board lights stayed on. I could not deactivate the alarm. I tried changing the battery in the central locking remote and even got a new one. The cars at the dealers now, I have been told that there is a fault in the light switch.
Wondering what thats got to do with my car showing a start error. I would have thought the ECU and immobiliser would need reseting at most. Any ideas.[:(]
