Does anyone know who manufactured the driver's side exterior mirror or have a part number? I'm trying to find an OEM replacement.
Mine has gone dark yellowish-green permanently. So far, junk yard replacements have ranged from $250 to $300 which includes the plastic enclosing facia.
This is for a 1999 SLK230. The mirror is auto-dimming and heated.
It's not the same manufacturer as the interior rear view mirror which has been discussed in a sticky thread.
I'm looking at a spare one I have now (I mean the mirror only) & the # on the back is ZB 170 810 01 21
There are 2 contacts were switches are plugged in to heat it up (probably)
No manufacturer name, but a star like on the front grill, just before the part # above.
Side mirror PN is 208-810-01-21. I had to replace mine a couple of years ago. Price was $367 from the dealer. When you install the new one, dab a couple of spots of silicon rtv on the movement disc to insure it doesn't pop off when you hit a bump.
