Yes, its the very same. Its literally 1 mile away from my house. I've been up to look at it and it seems fantastic (all 4 tyres need changing though). I'm happy with the car and the list price but I'm struggling to get a good deal for my part ex. I'm about 500 out in terms of what I'd want for it, plus it comes untaxed and those tyre changes wouldnt be included so thats another few quid on top.

On top of that, I'm getting a hard time from the insurers because i'm 24, so i'm thinking...

Wait a few more months until I'm 25 when the prices shoot down and really consider the SLK32. Thats easier said than done though to wait!

Out of interest, how rare are the special editions, and what is the wheel size for a standard SLK?

Dont let them make a sucker out of you m8

There are loads and loads of slk round for sale !

You got to switch them, at the mo your doing the running and thats got to stop.

Make it clear !! What you are willing to pay and THATS THAT !!!

Then if the will not play ball walk away....There is always another one round the corner even nicer.

It would ring alram bells to me, the last owner run the tyres so low, Does not look good for the care of it, Also it is not legal to sell a car with bald tyres !

230 and 320 have 16" wheels as standard (but different styles) and the 32 has 17". But some owners put 17" AMG alloys on their 230s or 320s as an option when new.

Like Papa said, there are loads of SLKs for sale so there is not need to rush in to buying one.

Not sure how many Special Editions are in the UK (there was also a similar Final Edition a year later) but for your budget you are not far off the price of the SLK32 which is rare (only 271 released in the UK i think) but there are always some for sale if you are prepared to travel...plus would be a lot of fun on those roads in north Wales

And i was thinking the same about the tyres, if they are below the legal limit then I thought they weren't "fit for purpose" so they should replace them before selling the car.

Wait for the SLK32... It was so worth it... Plus In the long run the SLK32 will keep its value alittle better then a SE... Wish every one with insurance problems lived in the US. I never have a problem getting someone insured and and a good price...
