Thanks damo I think it shows what I need But they seem all facelift cars I would like a nice close one of a pre F/L car of the sill / step / skirt with the door open. I need to see what it is that is on top of the AMG side skirt were it meets the sill it must be a rubber strip of some sort. the F/L does not have it as it just butts up
Like Bruce said, the SLK32 was only available after the facelift. The pre-facelift AMG model was mostly just a body kit like this (not sure why this one has post face-lift wing mirrors fitted).

It is post f/l, its a 320 and no trunk lock, 320 were all post f/l.
f/l was in 2000

I can't remember were I got the photos from now, it was months ago so i saved them because I liked the look of em. But I think they were press photos from mercedes...makes you wonder if it was a prototype because it looks like it has wing mounted indicators and the is a Kompressor badge there too, plus the door handles are black. just a thought
OK i know i am getting a bit off topic here now but car in the photos i posted is also used in the 2000 AMG brochure on pages 42 and 43...but the wing indicator has gone and it is now badged as a 230 looks like a bit of manufacturer's artist licence to me.
