I used to think exactly like you but I learned a big lesson with mine CL 55 with aftermarket sc that blew up my engine. I could has bought a factory CL 55 sc and still have a money left over. This is the reason why I only cosmeticly fix up my Clk cabriolet and no performance mods.

What the hell did happen?? I read cca half a thread where you were talking about not having expecting power from HPS SC, but blowing the engine is another story...!!!!??? What in the world happened? Too lean condition??
