They look very very good See you have the same wheels that I just got (19" right?) How much have you lowerd your car Robban? And do you have right behind the wheels? (black thing) I know it's for stoping dirt getting on the side but where did you get it? Custom made maybe?
Anyway, I got my Stop tech for 1800 dollars so I was just wondering. That's alittle higher than the price on ATE that www.x-t-c.com have. I know that in norway 4 pison stoptech break cost around 30000 kr, (5500 dollars) and I know stoptech is used on Porsche.
It is really a moot point as to which one is better. I doubt that you will hit the limits of either set of brakes. Your tires are going to be the limiting factor. Additionally any delta in in braking performance is going to be neglible.
I used to race motorcycles. When I first started out as a privater a lot of guys were putting high end parts on there bikes, brakes being one of them. There are more choices then you can shake a stick at.. I used my STOCK brakes for 3 years and was still at the top of the pack. Point is. The brakes on the car work fine. For what you are doing with them more then sufficient. Sure you can tell people you have cross drilled quad pistons, but can you use them the way they were designed to be used? Most likely Not. So save your self some money and have your car detailed instead. More then worth it. Noting like a clean car. Others will notice your clean car before you would ever notice the Differences between brakes..

Even better not to have any breaks on your car, since that will stop it permanently. Just make sure you have brakes if you want to stop the car under your control.

Believe it or not, the stock brakes on the SLK's work quite well.
If you actually race the car on a track they may be a little on the light weight side, but on the street you will never need anything more.
Of course if you want looks, that would be a different story...
Not a fan of huge break conversion.. I think oem work just fine for me IMO. Not like i"m gonna drive 100mph on 35mph speed limit and still have powerstop break to stop and let granny pass the cross walk....hahaha
