What a difference So it does wotk on a 98 with TB under hood
No wonder people rave about these things, car is all it should of been.
Maybe a little sensitive at the moment but certainly restores any lost feelings
Ive driven for one day, slow and fast, had to turn onto "W" mode to keep things honest.
No lag like Subby, connector housing on throttle body cracked up due to age but still plugged ok into Sprintbooster socket.
Car is no faster overall but just gets up and goes with earlier throttle, SC seems to come in earlier too
Will see how I feel in about a week after the initial thrill wears off
Easy to fit. Mine is under hood at throttle potentiometer.
Press tangs in on side of plug and wiggle off. Mine was stuck and one tang broke off, bugger. Didnt matter as it is a snug fit into adaptor socket, then plug SB where you removed plug.
Did some research on SprintBooster and it sounds awesome. I could only find it on ebay for about US$300 including shipping. Does that seem about right? It ships from Hong Kong...makes me nervous.
Are there any U.S. distributors that you know of?
Thanks for sharing...your posts are always reliable.
Hey Baz great to hear... i think it might have been my car.
I got a scan tool today and reset all my codes. after doing this my car goes COMPLETLY diff. it looks like the supercharger was engaging before but not giving any boost, if it did it wasnt full. sort of like "safe mode" if a fault was triggered? it turned the S/C system off. now it actually feels like a forced induction car.
I will pop my sprintbooster back on tomorrow and let you know... im hoping for good things
ok, so when people say "you don't need a sprint booster, just push on the pedal harder if you want it to go faster" is that statement incorrect? does it do more than just simulate the throttle pushed further/faster?
I'm surprised that there are no pics... Cmon Bazzle, I want to know what's inside, and I thought you did too! I'm still wondering what makes it tick (resistors?). Still seems kinda pricey but if the cars learning procedure does not learn the new signals and get slow again it may be worth it. The thing I really hate about this car is the disconnected feeling.....

Call me lazy. It does feel more than the lead foot approach.
