I just received a response from Kaveh (k_afshari). He solved his problem by replacing a brake pedal switch and here is his detailed step-by-step report:

I replaced the brake light switch following Kaveh's and Bazzle's! instructions and this seemed to solve the problem!

Brake light switch part number (for pre-facelift models): 0015450109

Can be bought from Autohaus AZ:
Your Parts Search Returned 1 Part(s)
for $17.70 + shipping

...or from your friendly stealership. My stealership charged me $26
