So I rang Mercedes of Truro, Cornwall, and I purchased over the phone Tier One (covers most things) MB extended warranty in July last year, it cost a little over £500 againt the £800 + wanted by my local Sussex dealer who incorrectly stated it couldn't be purchased cheaper (it can because other dealerships in cheaper areas have lower overheads).

You don't have to purchase MB warranty near to you which is just as effective at any dealership you go to.

I'm very happy with my MB extended warranty, I had 2 heat exchangers and to prevent window condensation a rubber boot seal replaced no charge.

The same goes for services which can be hundreds cheaper depending which MB dealership you go to.

I also have a window condensation problem which only appears when in the winter when it is very cold. Was this your problem? If so, what was the solution. Thanks.

I know converts tend to develop a little condensation. My condensation problem was ice forming inside when cold and large globules of water appearing on inside windows following heavy rain indicating a rubber seal failure. They replaced the seal across the back of the car in the top of the boot with a much higher modified seal (suggesting a fix for a common fault) all has been well since.
