Sourcing Front AMG style bumper and new DJH grill. Beware: Clear headlight

Hey guys, first post here.

Wanted to know where to get a 03' AMG style front bumper and a DJH 3 slat chrome grill online or in Hong Kong.

Oh, just dropping a line for those wishing to buy and install the clear headlight from ebay or anywhere (DEPO made). The relay doesn't give high beam at all. I brought mine from eBay (REDCOMET) and he is unwilling to admit the fault.

Does anyone know how to fix. I am thinking of getting a Bi-Xe to solve the issue.

Just thinking, i have a silver 98 230 should i get the 03 AMG front or Expression Motorsport front and back lips? (see pics)

Thanks!

DC

I believe buying the clear headlights and Bi-xenon kit seperately is the best solution. Then you´re sure of getting the lights you want.

WTTC. What's the price comparison. The Expression kit looks nice IMO and looks to be a simple install. If there was a big difference in price...ie Expression much lower...I'd go that route. It looks great.

A look thru the last few pages will give you all the grill info you need. Also search for clear headlights. A lot of posts on them and the wire swap for the relays.
A bit of car and location info in your sig or avatar will help chaps sort you out with future qqq's.

Okay, i finally get back to office and this is the body i want, if not also the wheels, i think this setup with the 3 fin grill will look wicked.

Tell me how you think!

Thumbs up

I also had some problems at first with the clear headlights getting the high beams to work, so then I just pluged the headlights into the car's headlight harness without using the relays that come with the lights. NO PROBLEM AT ALL, I didn't use the relay. Lights work fine!

brabus.slk, i think you can do that ONLY if you want to MELT the socket if not the whole housing.

I heard that the reason the relay is there is because it reduce the amount of voltage that gets to the lights, if not to control and switch of the driving light to high beam when high is activated....this will elimate BOTH lights being on and thus drawing too much heat to melt the assembly....

I could be wrong but guys...do you have any suggestions? Does removing and by passing the relay works?
