I had my resonator removed last week and love the way it sounds... I don't know how the exhaust works on a 230 though. I would check under the car and see if there's a secondary resonator you can remove. I went to a muffler shop and the guy took out the resonator then custom made me a Y-pipe to replace the resonator for $50... talk to the owner of the shop and you can talk them into just about anything.
I needed a Y-adapter because the resonator was 2 pipes in, 1 pipe out.
Anyone know if any cats can be removed? I see two on each pipe... surely I can safely remove one without affecting O2 or A/F or stuff like that, right?
it all goes down to how much money you want to spend & what look / sound you are trying to achieve....
i personally love Eisenmann.
