I picked up the MAF cleaner today after it was ordered for me yesterday. Got home from work and took the MAF out and apart and sprayed it like the instructions on the can said. Put it all back together and closed the hood. When I started the car up right after that the car had a very rough idle, nearly rocking back and forth. Is that normal? I have it in the garage for the night, hopefully a good night rest will allow it to reset everything and when I use it tomorrow all is better. Tired of that idiot light coming on.
whats the comb chamber? and where would it be. i didn't have time personally to drive it today as i had to get to work, but my father did and he said it was still sluggish. when i did start it today it was mega rough and when i backed it out of the driveway and put into drive it nearly cut off twice so i quickly pulled back into driveway and shut it off. had an awful smell as well. seemed as though fumes from the spray stuff had stayed behind or something. when i got home from work and turned it on it seemed ok, not rough. but didnt take it for a drive and the light was still on on the dash. guess i need to call the warranty company and see if they will cover the labor to have it looked at up at the stealership and get the parts needed replaced. grr.
