Bazz how can i get that switch out? (the sw under the r/h side brush that tells the roof the boot lid is tilted back.) It`s locked in a metal frame and the visibility is`nt great and i can`t see what to push to realease. Thx!
Its held in with a square platic flap and a lipped flap into the metal plate. You have to pull it down and out. Mine broke one of the tags last week when I knocked it playing with the new tail lights. I just used silicone glue when I put it back.

The roof switches are pretty easy to check, you need to remove the roof lining first. This is done by opening the roof half way and undoing the 3 screws at the front and the 3 either side (In the plastic trim). You'll see the two switches at the front of the roof when the lining is removed.
Check that the microswitches spring open when allowed to.
Putting the roof lining back by yourself may prove a bit tricky so try and get someone else to hold it up while you screw it in! oo er.
isarescu, have you checked the switch at top of windsceen (under sun visor) and the two at front of actual roof (Under roof lining). These are all easy to check and as I understand are all common causes of this syndrome.
This could go on forever.
Hope new ones fix your issues.
Easy to remove the bellows that causes them to stick 1st just to isolate the prob and/or use a jump lead to short the cables out to emulate the sw in question.
Bellows=Mechanical contrivance for creating a jet of air, consisting usually of a hinged box with flexible sides, which expands to draw in air through an inward opening valve and contracts to expel the air through a nozzle. Invented in medieval Europe, the bellows was commonly used to speed combustion, as in a blacksmith's or ironworker's forge, or to operate reed or pipe organs.

...as used in the steam powered PSE in the back. Don'tforget to stoke coals into the exhaust. Also as used on accordions.
Bazzle was referring to the covering over the switches shaped like the concertina which expands and contracts.
