Will advise by PM on Monday when I hear back from Viponds
Just here to add my 2 cents. Used Oberoi's contact at the Viponds paint shop in AU to order paint. Arrived in about a week nicely packaged.
I repainted the entire parking brake area and armrest after removing; and also the stereo and A/C surround after loosening the faceplate.
I used no more than 1/3 of the bottle of paint (beige siam.) Result exceeded all expectations - specifically the color matching, and general feeling of durability of the finish now that it is all dried (I let it dry overnight.) My only regret is not taking "before" pictures. The "after" part looks great and will try to get some pics up later.
To sum this up: Order the paint. You will be pleased w/ results (this coming from a guy who asked for a quote at his local MB dealer for new replacement parts thinking that would be the only way to solve the paint peeling problem! BTW the price quote was >$1000US not incl labor for install!)

Hi All,
I have one for you...I am working on a "Custom Full Switch Row" for the w203 (w209) and I am not having ANY LUCK with a paint to match the OEM black saturation and sheen. I have not even tried to laser etch into them yet...I also am working on custom CAN triggers and receivers - if anyone has info on that - PLEASE let me know...
Anyway - Here are three "shots" showing my work - and until I get a 100% OEM looking finish on these buttons...I can not move forward...
Do you think that this supplier can match the OEM SPRAYED BLACK that is used on switches for Mercedes-Benz products?
In the last slide you can see my mismatching parts...and it IS NOT good enough for me...
The Viponds product is a leather/vinyl feel paint and is meant to feel soft to touch.
Viponds said that if the switches are anything but polypropylene, the adhesion will be good and should be OK (BTW they supply finishes for airlines in Oz)
They can certainly match the colour and level of sheen - there is a matting agent to dull paint down and a glossing agent I think to bring it up - 1 litre min mix volume for original match to sample
I got my spray paint from Germany in preps for the winter project of a complete interior repaint. I plan on completely stripping the existing paint and repainting. Does anyone have any suggestions for a preferred water based stripper to strip the parts prior to painting?
