I'll have to check my VIN tonight. My work's firewall blocks all Russian sites. I'm assuming my charcoal interior is the anthracite color, but I want to make sure.

I would be willing to have a painting party in the San Jose area. I'm sure I'm not the only one in the Bay Area that has this issue on a charcoal interior. After a half hour of painting, we can sit back by the pool with a beer in hand waiting for the paint to dry.

Hi Clarky -- First, educate your girlfriend to respect fine machinery!!

Then contact Black98slk230 for anthracite
Baysic for Siam beige (215)
98slkowner3016 for salsa red
Oberoi for sienna beige(leather sand 225)(LATE NOTE- Sienna B now avail. again thanks to generosity of SLKmama of Tulsa who has left some with me.)

The paint is on it's way to them now by post - they are all in the US. (except Oberoi)

For touch ups 100mls goes a long way - 50 mls for the odd spot

Cheers

Oberoi

Hi bbsilver -- if you can't get on to that site, send me a PM with your VIN and will check for you -- send me your email address also and will send a fact sheet on best way to get a good finish.

Contact Black98slk230 for a small quantity of anthracite or I can get you a 1/2 litre with flatting agent for $44US posted.

I would like to get out of the loop but Viponds are not interested in packaging/customs decs/mailing/money transfers etc for small quantities so I don't mind now that they have the formulas worked out

Talking Console Peeling

This may have already been said, if so I apologize.I have according to MB the color anthracite on my console. I went to a store here in Atlanta called Hobby Lobby and bought paint used to color model airplanes and such. I bought white and black, mixed and matched until the color match was near perfect. I used a artist brush to apply and to match the sheen I applied a little ArmorAll. It is very difficult to tell where the repair is.

Just organised 1/2 litre for 'slkmama' of Tulsa who has generously donated to members the balance of what she doesn't need.

Will have it next week and it will be dulled down to the right sheen

I'll send you an email with inf.

Smile Fact sheet for those painting consoles

Re-posting this stuff so that I dont have to send so many emails.

See attached pdf for detailed prep/painting instructions.

The dabbing lightly with towelling or sponge compensates for the original spray finish and gives an identical finish.

Hope it helps
