The paint distribution is now done by the manufacturer direct - alan@viponds.com.au
Cost around $40USD per 200mls (incl mail)I think - possibly $43USD to Netherlands
For a console/dash makeover, you need about 2-300 mls - maybe 500mls if you are stripping everything down to the plastic
Send me a PM with your Email address and will send fact sheets
Can also send you some feedback from people who have used the salsa red

Hi Kervin - It's probably sienna beige/leather sand 225 - you won't be able to tell the difference when you've fixed it!!
Try it by all means, but the Viponds paint is not designed for spraying - has been tried and came out with a different texture - (you cannot thin the paint too much or the solids will come out of suspension)
They make a different range - 'tautflex air'- for spraying - requires reformulation of the colour match - different solvent -- very thin and not much advantage to be gained.
Viponds reckon the paintable variety will give fewer problems. - Fewer coats req'd and less solvent. - Finish is indistingishable from spray type.
I have interior red 217. Got my paint from Viponds a few weeks back, $40 to the door and just got around to trying it out. My interior was perfect untill I dangled an air freshener off my glovebox. A week later I had a large blistered spot and covered it with a decal untill now. Anyhow, tried everything, re-sanded (started over several times) and found that lightly dabbing the paint with a coarse lint free terry cloth towel filled the void after three coats, after which I followed with one complete coat on the entire glove box. In between coats I lightly abraded with a 00 scotchbrite pad and followed with an alcohol wipe. The grain shows great. By the way, only wiped down interior plastic with a rag wringed out with water since new. This may account for the perfect interior all these years.
Hello, Oberoi and all. I'm brand new to this forum, and greatly appreciate the wealth in info on the SLK. Like the above owner, I have a '99 SLK230 that I bought last week for my wife, and it has the leather sand+quartz (225) interior. I am greatly interested to get the paint for the interior console. Can you PM me with the details and a fact sheet? Also, any pictures of the resulting outcomes when this color was used would be greatly appreciated.
