I've seen the paint possibilities, and the carbon fiber replacement thread for the center console - any other options out there? - drove a loaner today while getting cars serviced and it has a nice stainless steel appearing alternative - web searches so far have produced no results - appreciate any suggestions. Looking to replace the wood and chipping console parts - wife is distressed. Thanks - Fried
Got the Salsa Red a while back but only got around to using it this week. Most of my problem was small chips and I used a small flat artist brush to "drop" in 4 coats to build up the chipped areas. Then applied two coats with a small cloth pad to blend colors and restore grain pattern. Looks like no repairs were made and it could not have been easier. My hat is off to you Oberoi.
Good timing Kevin, I have just picked up 500mls of :
Anthracite - (for Black98slk230)
Salsa Red - (for 98slkowner3016)
Siam Beige- (for Baysic)
They are all in the USA and will be posted today - suggest you contact Black98slk230 in about 10 days.
If anybody else wants any of these 3 paint colours, I understand that the above members are willing to share.

Hello Oberio—I have a 99' slk with black/light grey interior components. I'd be interested in some of the light grey interior paint for my console. In what quantities are you selling, and for what price?
You are in luck! Have some left after supplying about 9 other guys out of the litre I had made up - my match was perfect and most of the others were OK also.
Dont worry about the stuff left on - It does re- cover well and seals the 'joins'. (if you are dead set about stripping it all, you can use paint stripper with great care - it can eat into the plastic but is OK if you clean off as soon as it bubbles)
The attached shot is of a console that had about 5 sq. inches peeled off the top surfaces before I decided not to remove the console completely. (the part around the handbrake was a mess)
Send me an email and I'll send you the fact sheet/ preparation instructions as advised by Viponds
Don't worry, we've all been thru the initial "must be removed and covered with leather" phase -- repainting works pretty well - it's only sourcing the stuff with a good match that is the trick! ( I'm picking up 3 litres of salsa red/anthracite/siam beige for 3 members this week)
I'm just came across your thread a little late unfortunately, and was wondering if you have, or could direct me as to how I may be able to get some of the grey paint for sections of my interior. Particularly, my center console.
By the way, you've done a wonderful job in repainting your interior grey components. I to can not tell the difference between what was and was not repainted.
