Removing the storage tray

I'm trying to install the Bipes MP3 adapter but I cant get the stupid storage compartment out. It comes out about half an inch and then wont go any farther. Is there some trick? I dont want to force it and break something.

Thanks!

From what I remember, it just pulls out.

I had the same problem when I installed my Bipes adapter. I ended up tilting the bottom down a little and pulling pretty hard. It should be loose at least, then try some various angles and a bit of force, it should finally pop out. Good luck (and don't break it )

i was never able to get it out. I just dropped the bipes adapter in the back and was able to sneak the mp3 cable out the side without going through the tray area. Its definitely caught on something.

I ran the cable along the right side of the center console (I just pushed it up from the outside) and then fished it into the center storage compartment through the hole where the phone wires come in. I guess if you don't have the phone, there may not be a hole there though, or it may just be covered by the carpet. I keep the cable in the center storage compartment and when I'm using the ipod, I set the ipod in the little storage compartment by the cig lighter. I have thought about trying to put a hole in the bottom of that smaller compartment and leave the cable in there but am too lazy.
