Before I buy a Benz on eBay, I want to have a third party inspect the vehicle to make sure the seller is representing it thoroughly and completely. Any advice on which inspection service is worth their coin? I've had a bad experience with one in the past, so I'm a little wary.
Should I avoid private party sellers on eBay? I would think that a dealer with high positive feedback would be a bit safer, no?
I recently bought another luxury sport sedan on eBay and the experience was very, very good. Got a great deal and the car is perfect. But I don't want to press my luck this time. Any advice welcome.
But if I only buy a Starmark Benz from a dealer, aren't I just going to be adding an extra $6-10k to the price? Seems like I might be better off buying from a private party who can transfer their Benz warranty to me -- or finding a vehicle that still has a fair amount of original factory warranty left on it.
But back to my original question -- no one here has ever bought a Benz long distance and had a third party inspection that they were pleased with???

Yes, if you buy from a private party, and they have paid for a good chunk of Benz underwritten warranty, you can transfer it. A Benz dealer would have to pay around $700-800 a year to initiate a new Benz warranty and pass that cost, maybe marked up a bit, to you.
