Shorty Antenna Part Numbers

I went to the dealership the other day and asked for the part numbers for the SL shorty antenna and just want to make sure that what they gave me is what I need to order.

They gave me a picture with an exploded view of that part of the car and the only two things that they circled are outside parts. (The short antenna and the mount which goes on the outside of the car.

Is this all I need???

Part numbers: (The last number is the paint code)

Short Antenna part (Outside of car):

230 820 1075 9040

Bottom mount to car (Outside of car):

230 827 0101 9040

Please let me know if this is it and I'll order them right away.

Thanx

RE: Shorty Antenna Part Numbers

Only downside with the SL antenna is that you will lose radio reception.

I know a lot of folks on the forum confirm that, but I must have gotten a super SL antenna I guess. I have absolutely no loss of FM reception in my area. AM is a bit weaker, but FM is unaffected.

Now I am in a major metropolitan area, and I carry my spaghetti antenna in the trunk for long trips, but I have not had to resort to it as yet. And, I only paid $10 for the SL upper part, so so far I am thrilled. [;)]

RE: Shorty Antenna Part Numbers

larryk,

I'm going to be moving to Dallas most likely next year.

You'll have to introduce me to the gang and show me the good roads to drive on!!!
