be a great trip car. Passing others on the secondary roads is one of it's real strong points. When you come to a short passing area it's bang and your by them, exposure in the other lane is extremely limited. We made the return trip all the way up the coast, mostly top down, only got rained on briefly once we turned in from the Oregon coast but found that at 70+ the rain mostly went over the top of the car so didn't even get wet.

Noticed one thing on the really slow twisty bit just north of San Francisco. On slow speed (20-25 mph) tight curves that the car seemed to rotate really well. Is there some rear wheel steer built into the suspension? It seems like Mercedes was saying that back when we had our 190 in '86. It was a big help in getting around the corners cleanly.

Lumbar support seemed OK but a bit more would be nice. Side bolsters were really good on the ....

twisty bits. We spend up to 4 hours at a stint (gas stops only) and got out feeling good.
