I did a search and didn't really come up with anything. When I go to use cruise control it will either not activate at all, or if a lower speed (65 or lower) will turn on but not stay on for more than a short period of time.
The only thing I can think of that has changed is I had new tires an alignment done. Is there a sensor the could of crushed/damagaed? Other than that **KNOCK ON WOOD* the car actually handles and rides much smotther.

RE: Help with cruise control
Can't tell you exactly, because I don't have a MT, but they are typically on the pedal arms, near the top. I'll look at my 16 valve when I get home, they should have a similar set up.

Mike, I appologize, there is a cover over the top of the pedals ...
and it's just too cold in the garage to work on the car right now. It's about 18 F out there. Maybe someone in a warmer area can give you a hand. (Please..!)
i have problems on my CC too.. but mine works for like 10 minutes while driving and then turns off if the car shakes hard enough when going to a rough surface.. and sometimes just turns off even when im driving in a perfectly even surface. ive always thought it was the controls on the steering wheel.
AT tranny... will it be the same thing you were talking about?

RE: Help with cruise control
"So bruce there are no sensors or anything at the wheels?"
Nothing on the front wheels, probable on the transmission as a take off on the speedo, but there still has to be a switch on the clutch and the brake to dis-engage the CC when you use either.
