Bulb warning light?

Any suggestions why my bulb warning light randomly comes on and off. Sometimes it illuminates saying i have got a light out. Then I do another journey and it is fine.

If I take out my rear bulb holders and fiddle with them they work fine again.

What gives????

RE: Bulb warning light?

My headlight warning bulb comes on whenever i turn on my headlights - its because one of my parking lights has blown and when you turn the knob around to turn the headlights it turns on the parking light for a second. The light then turns off after a minute or two.

RE: Bulb warning light?

It took me about 3 months before I found out that I had a license plate light out. I did not know that there were 2 bulbs there. My bulb warning light was driveing me nuts because I could not see that I had a light out. I thought that the something was wrong with my warning light but after I replaced the bad bulb all is well again.

RE: Bulb warning light?

The bulb warning light is clever, it gives you advance warning. It can detect when the brake lights are wearing out. Check your brake-light bulbs, maybe they will soon burn out.

RE: Bulb warning light?

I was having the same issue. My passenger brake light turned out to be dim compared to the other... it was definitely on it's way out.

I removed the assembly Saturday and replaced the bulb. Next, once I find it, I've read here that it would be good to treat the socket and bulb holder with Ox-Gard.
