where to buy replacement antenna mast for '98 SLK 230? - Benzworld.org

Mine broke off in the car wash. This is the black,rubber coated, non-retractable antenna that is about a foot long. Where can I get a replacement, and how much should I expect to pay?

It's only sitting there collecting dust.
You just need the wire part that screws in to the base, is that correct?

Can you put the SL style antenna on SLK? I mean the shorter one that has same color with the car...[?]

I have the new SL antenna on my car, works great in and around the city, but if you are driving on the highway and still want to here your favorite radio station better keep the old one handy. I lost about 50 km of reception distance.

Does the new SL mast screw on the SLK base, or did you have to but the base too?

It will fit the existing base on the SLK, you order it color matched to the paint color of your car. So you may want to have the base painted. My car is black so the flat black base is not noticable. I plan to have the base painted in the winter. I will post a picture of it on the car soon.
