Hi all

After 40K miles, I encountered the first (big) problem today.

The following occurs: when I shut the A/C off, the fan keeps blowing air.
Even when I shut off the engine.
The A/C still works.

Car is in my garage now with the battery detached.
Did somebody had the same problem? Any suggestions what the problem can be?

thnx

I checked alldatadiy.com and found no TBS for your problem. My best guess is that you have a bad "blower regulator" which supplies the power to the blower depending on the blower stage set. It is located on the blower motor which is located under the grove department. Reading about had the heating and A/C works I found out that the SLK has an electric water pump for the heating system, just something else that can break.

Thnx for the info, I just attached the battery again and ofcourse, the problem persists.

I took out fuse nr.36 out and it stopped blowing.
Now I don't have A/C anymore but i'm able to drive untill it gets fixed.

Gonna check out what you've said about the regulator, but I'm not quite sure where to look! [?]
