on a company that either offered or was planning to offer a kit that would allow you to use the mic and speakers plus mute the audio system during an incoming call. Maybe somebody remembers has saved the link.
this may or may not work, according to the description...
the adapter is specified for C Class, E Class 190, CLK, SLK; it says that it supports radio muting in 'some' applications, and supports using the radio speakers in 'most' applications; in other words, it might not work or might not work completely in the slk.<br>

I am curious, I have a 2001 230 that didn't come with the Mercedes phone option. I have looked for
the jack, connection point, whatever, to hook a cell phone into but can't seem to find anything. I heard it was located in the center armrest between the seats but see nothing but two buttons for the TeleAid. If I were to order this "Bird Kit" where would I hook it up and how would my cell phone plug into it? The picture of the "Bird Kit" only shows a rectangular jack and some wires coming off it and nothing about how to hook up the phone or install the jack. Any info and pics would be appreciated.<br>
