For people who has the CD Changer. Does your changer easily jump when you hit a pothole?
the CD Changer in my ML320 doesn't.
Maybe I installed it improperly?
But I used the bracket for the changer as supplied by autoclass.net
Oh well, I guess my singalongs just have to adapt. :)
Very rarely, but it has happened a couple of times...
... we don't have too bad potholes around where I live though.
I'm curious, those who have installed lower/stiffer springs, have you noticed that the CD skips more often?
Never, and we have a LOT of construction going on...(more)
right now in my area. It even plays some CD's of our own making that do not play perfectly in any other CD player.
If it helps...mine is the factory unit, installed in the right hand side of the trunk (boot), with the cartridge closer to the back of the car.
We also own 2 VERY inexpensive units from Jensen. 10 disk changers, under $200 per unit. They skip if we hit railroad tracks at 30+ mph, and almost never otherwise. If the stock MB unit is skipping at all, I would have it replaced.
