Merc Prices On The Rise Again <br>

Is rip-off Britain back? Mercedes has bumped up prices by as much as รบ1,650 across its range. Buyers will now have to pay up to 2.5 per cent more.<br>
An entry-level A140 Classic goes up by รบ400 to รบ13,025, while a basic C180 Classic rises from รบ20,740 to รบ21,140. However, the biggest price increases are seen in the S-Class range, with the S55 AMG up รบ1,650 to รบ78,790. Only the V-Class line-up remains the same. Despite the price rises, specs across the range do not change.<br>

Mercedes was the first major motor manufacturer to cut list prices last year, but a spokesman denied that the firm was now trying to boost profits. He blamed increases in German inflation rates for the rises.<br>
