All new SLK owners, don't forget my tip for the free alignment so they install the adjusting bolts.

It depends on the dealer.

My dealer would not do an alignment under warranty without a test drive. If your dealer will do an alignment based on your complaint of misalignment, then go for it.

What tip? Searched archives for "free alignment" and "adjusting bolts".

you should get the car aligned BEFORE your warranty expires

Actually, before the end of the first year. Alignments are covered for only 1 year/12K miles.

norb - what do you mean about the 'adjusting bolts' - is that like a camber kit?

i had my dealer do an alignment after i installed h&r springs - they told me that they couldn't get the car into camber specs because of the springs.

j(la), how much of a drop did you get with the H&R springs? Just springs or the Cup Kit?

Could you post pictures, please. TIA

Was this your first alignment? Did they install the bolts?

They can't to a complete alignment without installing the bolts and they would have to install the bolts if this were the first alignment you received. Just curious.
