By the way the concept of planned obsolescence has taken on new dimensions this story will be repeated thousands of times over the next decade if even that long.
For a car that is conceived to break after 20 years and not make it to age 30, just because almost EVERY electronic part is doomed to fail I don't see a future for any of them.....not to mention the mechanical components as these cars are driven 2-300 000 miles etc.....

For this particular car it probably still ran and drove, but an inflated body repair insurance bill made sure it would not stay on the road.....

I know it's all ass-backwards , but that's o.k., we can all just move to Mars after we f*ck up this planet....

I am glad I saved the older cars and not this stuff.........

I have seen a number of cars with hardly a dent - and all air bags deployed making them more costly to repair than the market value. My 20 year old SL has not had any electronic issues; just plastic that is brittle.

It just got back from a 1300 mile trip to San Diego.

Thanks Martin. I desperately need the ads computer from a 96 or later sl600. Posted an ad on row 52 for a puller.
