I'm doing some preventative work on the cooling system, fitting a new water pump (bearing clicked), flushing and replacing the 2 yr blue coolant with the correct MB blue/green 3 yr stuff, plus some hoses.
Anyway when I pulled the belly pan I saw traces of (what I thought) was fresh blue coolant and wiped it clean.
Now the cooling system is all in order, no leaks found, so wondering about this belly pan "coolant"?
The day before work commenced, I'd completed a filthy dark, foggy, salty 300 mile drive, so using lights and washers quite a bit. Could washer fluid from the headlamps drip down and be blown back through the bumper grills or the gaps between headlamp, trims and bumper, into the engine bay?
I wish I hadn't wiped it clean or I'd have ID'd it by taste. :eek
I'd like to confident all is attended to while the car is still on a ramp. :grin
