Does anyone else drive your SL?

I would let me wife drive my SL. But she doesn't. She says that she is afraid to have any damage to it will driving. She never seems to enjoy the experience as much as me anyway.

Yesterday, my 15 year old daughter tried to convince me she should drive home from the beach. NO. Then she asked if she would ever get to drive it. Not sure about that one either.

So do any of you let your spouse or kids drive your convertible?

Money can't buy happiness, but it's a lot more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.

No, my wife tends to be a wheel basher, thinks they are there to tell her when she is close enough to the kerb. I also worry about the low front bumper cover especially in and out of my garage which is on a difficult incline.

It's her choice though, said she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she drove through a puddle and splashed dirty water up the wheel arch

She doesn't understand why cars can be treated as any thing but every day consumable goods. Still likes arriving somewhere with a bit of style though, and goes ape s*** if I use her cheap craft scissors to cut up some car bits, Woman go figure

I'm on the same boat as Scott, although I wouldn't mind the wife driving she has shown 0 interest in doing so quite honestly I'm not going to push the issue. Luckily she drives very well so I wouldn't have issues letting her.

Kid turns 12 today so no go on driving yet, although I won't mind letting him take it to prom if he desires to, but he will have to park on the far end of the parking lot to avoid door dings. He either needs to drop his date off at the door or they can both hike it from the parking spot.

No one has driven mine in over a year, including me!! Augh! It's just tucked away, never seem to get it out anymore. But, before a few friends drove it with me and no one in my family seems to have much interest although they like it. Seems to be a common theme, no interest. Which is interesting!

How can you let it sit for a year without driving at all? Could cause problems.

How long did you drive it before the fascination wore off? I've had mine almost a year and still really enjoy it. But I know a lot of guys seem to drive for two years then sell it.

I drive mine almost everyday.
My wife isn't interested in driving the SL, but she would if necessary.
My 19 year old granddaughter and 16 year old grandson have both driven my car and love it, and a neighbor went with me to Branson last week and he drove most of the way home.
It's just a car, I'll let anyone drive it, and I'll drive it and enjoy the ride!
