After speaking with the manager at RAS, he said he could not help me out, despite the fact that his employee specifically advised me the part was covered and to schedule the repair. I already put in motion a letter and call to cancel this lame policy, and will be purchasing one through the dealer from Preferred Warranties, Inc. Plus Plan.

Having my SL inspected by dealer tomorrow (@N/C) to qualify for their warranty plan. I will report on what they find and details of the new plan. Has to be a lot better than what I had especially since they never have many claim issues. According to the service advisors, they prefer this plan because it covers mostly everything.
More to report after tomorrow...

When cases like this happen, it really pays to call up MBUSA and open a case. If this place is an authorized dealership, they will look at your history with the brand and possibly authorize funds toward your repair, even if it's not covered under warranty.
I recently had an issue fixed out of warranty and MBUSA footed the bill to repair a few other items as well. Was pretty happy about it Of course, that said, I still have paid the dealer more than my fair share and bought two cars new from them

This is a better link to the 'Plus" plan I got. (The Premier is not available to our older models)
If the MB Service Advisors like it, I like it. They have few if any rejections or complaints from the company, and it has a "$0 deductible. A lot more comprehensive coverage than I previously had.
