How to remove front undertray to get to fog lights

Hi,

I bought my SL320 only 3 weeks ago, so this is my first post.

Can anyone tell me where all of the fasteners are that hold the plastic under tray onto the car. The tray I want to remove is the one that sits beneath the front bumper.

I can see some screws on the front of the tray, but having removed these the tray will still not come off the car. Where are the others?

Thanks in anticipation.

Paul

Eric,

Thanks. The R129 under tray looks like a one piece part held on with 4 screws.

Now i know where to look.

Again, thanks

If its the main plastic pan under the engine then you are 1/2 way there. 2 screws at the front and 2 screws at the rear.

Once all 4 are out the pan should slide slightly towards the rear of the car and then down. Mine has two tabs at the front which help to keep it tucked up when driving.

much easier to remove a wheel and 2 plastic nuts to get at the foglamp. You can remove the front of the arch liner

Tommyboy,

I looked at my car tonight and realised the under tray is not going to get me very close to the fog light.

I can see how the wheel arch liner is closer. I'll follow your advice.

Many thanks
Paul
