Shoe Polish on Leather Seat?????

I have a 99 SL500 and it has the Nappa seats. There is some wear on the outside bolster on the driver's seat (64k). I have treated it with Leatherique but I still see the wear. I have an 84 Ferrari with black leather seats with the same wear pattern. I have used Leatherique and black shoe polish with good results.

I want to do the same on the Nappa beige seats. Has anyone done this and if so what brand and color shoe polish did you use?

leather repair kits are availabe and methods on how to smooth and repaint, google it. It is worthwhile getting a seat belt cover down the bottom half of the belt or get your wife to knit you one as it is the belt thar rubs on the bolster.

Doesn't shoe polish stain on your clothes? Never tried it, just asking.

Don't use shoe polish, the results will be uneven and not long lasting. Go to Color-Plus : Interior Leather Care, Coloring, Repair and Restoration for the Auto Enthusiast and order a custom-blended leather dye for your seats. I used this with great results on my 911.
