Removing AC side vent

Hello all,

My AC vent on the driver's side no longer moves when I try to direct it side to side. I want to remove it to see if it can be fixed. Does anyone know how to remove it without breaking it? (picture attached)

Yep...I just changed my right side vent.

Start up close to the windshield above the tweeter cover and pop off the plastic strip. That will allow you to then lift up the tweeter cover, gently, and that will expose the two screws holding the vent onto the dash. The vent just pushed into the plastic air duct for the AC.

What I found is that there is a little wire that "sits" into the vertical plastic panes inside the vent housing. When you move them side to side the wire keep the panes in alignment and moves them in unison.
