Does anybody have any information regarding the 1995 limited edition Mille Miglia 500SL? I have not been able to find any detailed information regarding the car.

There is an owner's group on Facebook that may help. If you're on Facebook, search "R129" and several groups will pop up. You can also google "R129 owners" or some such and see if you come up with an interest forum. This site may get you what you want.

Trim,wheels and interior I think were the only special bits on it but I bet it had a special price

1995 Mille Miglia Edition

In 1995 Mercedes released the Mille Miglia edition, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Stirling Moss's win of the 1955 Mille Miglia road race. The limited edition was available in either SL320 or SL500 guise, came in Brilliant Silver metallic, and had Evo II six-spoke polished alloys, red and black leather interior, carbon-fibre trim and extra equipment. Stirling Moss was given the first SL500 built.

To find my car (in USA) I had to use:

1. Craigs List
2. Yahoo- Autos
3. Ebay
4. Local classified ads

for ONE YEAR before I finally found a relatively clean one that had not been used as a gangster racer!
