Interesting observation : while the price of the R129 keeps on dropping every day, the price of parts (new or used) are expensive. I wonder what is the cross over point where parting out a good running R129 makes sense. Of course you'll need garage space to keep the car while parting it out.

The 600 engine is bullet proof. I have yet to see a failed engine in a sl600 the computers or harness will fail long before you see a mechanical failure.
