Guy's just wanted to show you some pictures of a Horrific Crash that happened a few kilometers from where I live, it's not an R129 but a Mercedes SLR.

The drivers cab seemed to be in one piece, did the driver/passengers survive?

I don't have any information about the driver and/or passengers The newspapers have not mentioned it at all today. It might be a prominent person driving it. I will probably know more together.
The pictures at least tells me that Mercedes makes safe cars.

Being such an expensive car, it very well could be.

I guess the body is designed to absorb the impact-thus less force on the driver.
more and more cars are designed this way for safety reasons and this is a prime example...I can only hope for the best for those in the vehicle.

That is one hell of a mess, he must have been going at some rate, was there another car involved? Looks like there was no other car from the pics. A few other wannabe racing drivers have bent their SLR`s

Looks more like a R.P.G. (rocket propelled grenade) attack to me!!!

There were no other Cars involved and both guy's in the car died on the Spot, the newspapers inform today

That's really sad, the air-bags obviously deployed but were they wearing seatbelts?

I suppose we all take that risk driving cars that are capable of 155mph/260kph.
