Idle question

I have a '90 300SL, just had head gasket, water pump, wires, plugs, rotor and cap replaced, now my idle seams to be a little high. warm idle in gear is around 900-1000 rpm, in neutral around 1000-1100. Any comments would greatly be appreciated.

The first thing I would check is the throttle closed position switch located among the linkages where the throttle cable attaches. If the switch is mechanically closed, then I would verify it electrically with a basic electronic multimeter.
