Left Turn signal Lights - on all the time.
Hi Guy's, I need some help- I've tried to search all previous topics but couldn't find any one with the same problem as myself.
This morning on my way to work, the Car stopped - when it started at first try- but then with the Left Turn Signal lights on all the time- the bulbs don't blink but are giving steady light. The Right Turn Signal lights blink as normal (while left turn lights still are on.
I Would first have guessed it is a Relay, but then the Right Turn signal would not work as normal would it ?
Could it be a Earthing problem ?
When trying to find the problem I discovered a Relay that was burnt - the Part number is 001 542 9719 - could it have something to do with the Turn signal ?
I also found the reason for the Car stopping, one of the battery connections were loose.
Any suggestions to what is wrong ?
The relay you mention is associated with one of several possible systems -- none of which is the turn signals. I think your problem is likely the "Combination" relay module. It is the large one among the relays in the area behind the fuses that you have been looking.
Before replacing the Combination module I believe I would disconnect the left-side lamp assemblies at the rear and front of the car and see what happens just to make sure an anomaly with a bulb or wiring isn't causing the problem.

I removed the Bulbs and still the Left turn indicator light is still on.
relay 001 542 9719, seems to be the relay for Auxiliary Fan, Stage II.
The Combination Relay is according to the Russian MB Site number 1298201026, but how to remove it ?

Latest Update, Still can't get a way to take out the Control Unit, and is a bit afraid using force - don't want to break anything.
I tested the hazard lights with Ignition off and all 4 lights blinked at normal speed. In addition to that All Lights on the Dashboard and on switches blinked as well. Does anyone have a clue where to start searching ?

I tried to pull it out and the wires underneath comes with it. I tried to clip the wires off, but didn't manage.
I decided to take it to Bosch to have them to look at it, and a few other problems. I will keep you updated of the result.

I might do that and come to Dammam- it's not that far from Doha. Just have to be patient and wait for the Dealer to look at it - time will tell if they are able to fix it. I went first to the Bosch Service, but the Guy in charge today wasn't helpful at all. He told me that his Boss refused to touch any SL500 or SL600 as they were too complicated for them.

ummm
I Think because they don't know how to repair it that is why they refuse it
And I'm sure they will charge you a lot of money $$$$$$$$$$ but without repair
