Given the weight of the R129, does it make sense to use XL (extra load) tires? I've had it suggested to me that this is a good idea. It does somewhat limit choices though there are several tires available with XL designation.
Also, how did you get your car lowered? I am assuming your dealer did it with the STAR computer, or did you figure out a way to do it yourself?
My car does not have ADS so its just springs and shocks as far as I know. The original owner had it done. All I was told was the "suspensions been upgraded" The car sits slightly lower than stock as far as I can compare with photos of other cars.
Whist your car is up in the air with the front being worked on I would suggest having the fog lamp bulbs replaced with the xenon gas halogen type, they will then match the colour of the Hid headlamps lamps you have invested so much into recently. I did mine and the lamps are a real pain to remove if you are on the floor, trust me its worth the $20 to upgrade, no more yellow!

That's a good idea, and the color difference is the main reason I never use the fogs.

Alright, just ordered them! Hopefully they will get here in time to be put in at the same time they align my bumper later this week...would be so easy to do once you already have it up on a lift with the front wheels off...
I will be very interested to hear back from you on these tires. I have had good luck with Discount Tire with regard to my PS2's. May I suggest that you consider having your tires lifetime balanced every 3K miles and keep the tire pressure set monthly to the numbers posted on your gas cap.
Did you have to special order the tires prior to install?
Did you get a $25-$50 discount for buying all four tires?
Did you utilize there credit card to pay Zero interest?
Any other discounts?

I do plan on taking advantage of the free lifetime balance and rotation offered at Discount tire, the Invo's can also be rotated left to right which should get some extra milage out of them. They had to order the tires....it took three days for them to come in. I was not aware of any four tire discount. I could have gotten the zero percent financing, if I used their card but I did not choose that option. No other discounts were offered. One last point on the instalation, they used "tape weights" instead of those nasty clamp on units. How do they drive? They are awesome, very silent and they really stick in both wet and dry conditions. I have to say I am very happy...so far. Lets see how long these puppys last.

I got them at Discount Tire and can't say enough nice things about the store near me (they even fixed a flat on my girlfriend's Jeep for free, just because I'm a customer) I paid $982.64 for 2 245/40ZR-18 and 2 275/35ZR-18 I will get back to everyone with a follow up as to how these tires perform and last"

Oh, ok, I thought I missed something.
Also, I solved my rubbing mystery. I had the stealer look at it while it was in getting its new headlight put in, and they say the car was designed for either PS2's or ContiSport 2's, and that the sidewalls on the All-Season version of the Pilot-Sports are much higher than what would be spec, and that the tread is also raised significantly compared to the summer versions.
So, even though I technically have the correct tire sizes, apparently I don't *really* have the correct sizes. The tech said this is why my fronts were rubbing if the wheel was in the lock position. He also said it's doing it equally on both sides, but I just thought it was the one side because that's what I was hearing when I drove. The SA showed me another R129 they had in, and he was right. The tires showed the same exact sizes as mine printed on them, but the summer PS2's that one was wearing had sidewalls that were probably half as tall as the all-season Pilot-Sports that mine wears. There is a definite difference.
