Have you checked the upper strut mounts? [under the hood}
I had a quick visual look and everything looked in order. I've seen the posts re replacement, but anyone know if there a way to determine if this is the problem without dismantling everything?

I recently had the front anti roll bar mounting bracket fatique and snap on my car, get that checked. On mine it then sawed through the ADS hydraulic line! Didn't notice any noises even after it snapped though, just a puddle of very expensive hydraulic fluid on the floor!
With all the spirited driving you do, I am only surprised that it took this long! LOL.
