I had already bought a replacement lens for my passenger side xenon light, since it had turned a bit cloudy for no apparent reason. Then, on the way back from picking up my new pano top in Ft. Lauderdale, a rock released from some inconsiderate trucker shattered....don't you love life...the OTHER one!
Why couldn't it have just hit the one I was going to replace anyway?
So, long story short, I now need to swap out both lenses. I am assuming this must be pretty easy, but was wondering if anyone had any detailed instructions, or could walk me through what is involved and what tools I will need, along with whether or not there are any gaskets that I need to buy in addition to just the lenses.
Thanks to everyone in advance!

I must admit to taking off the rubber seal of my pre xenon European lights with a view to seeing how difficult it would be to change the lenses.
I prodded and poked for a bit but because I wasn't actually going to change anything I put the seal back on and tip-toed away
It didn't look that simple.
I'm sure someone has done this lens swap and I would like to know too as I'm still considering modifying my lights with original MB xenon lenses and projectors.
Moderate. Pop out the blinker from inside, there are two screws on the blinker side and one screw from the other side that hold the headlight in place. Remove the strip on the bottom of the headlight. Once you have the headlight out, remove the bulbs (actually you don't need to but you might damage the bulb while juggling with the unit), carefully remove the rubber and pry the tabs off to release the lense (be careful because you might break the tabs since they are old). If you use your head right, this job should not be too hard. Good luck.

Wow, that sounds a lot more complicated than I expected. I will give it a shot over the weekend nevertheless, but this may wind up being a job for the indy eventually.
I figured the lens would come off the front, not that the light housing has to come out the back first. Wow.
The len does come off the front but you need to take the whole headlight off the car prior to doing so. Just take your time and do it. It's not that hard. I broke one tab of mine when replacing the len (right) but it still holds.
