You stored it correctly, The top is quite strong, It would be a good idea to pick up a top stand for the roof though, you REALLY don't it falling over. I would love to have a hoist,However, It scares me to have the top hanging over the car all the time, If it ever fell onto the car it would do ALOT of damage!!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul, I leave my top top up on a hoist when it's not on the car and because it's so much lighter (70 lbs total wt.) than an R107 top I don't have quite the fear that you are justified in having.

I like the hoist idea very much. I had one for my Jeep Wrangler a few years ago, and it was a charm being able to remove or replace by myself. I'm sure the R129 top would be the same. As there are a variety of hoists out there, can anyone recommend one brand in particular? Thanks,
