Please read and follow these important steps before starting a new topic or asking members for technical help.
The chances are that your question has already been covered before so use the search feature before posting. Simply type in a keyword e.g. Hydraulic. This will bring up all posts on that topic.
For more advanced, selective and deeper searching select 'Advanced Search', type in keywords such as Hydraulic and choose the R129 forum if the search is related to our R129 models.
If your particular query is not covered after carefully reading through the search results, post your topic as follows.
* Post a clear and concise question.
* State the year, model, and mileage of the vehicle involved and also your location.
* State the exact nature of the problem and include any recent work carried out to the vehicle prior to the fault.
* If possible please attach small photographs of any DIY repairs and post back into the related topic. This is to help other members if they have to make the same repair.
Please do not start duplicate topics but post into existing topics which cover your question or comments. If you find that your duplicate topic or post is missing it will have been moved and merged with an appropriate existing topic.

We've had mention made about SHOUTING or typing in capitals when posting. Another thing I have received private messages about are huge graphics used as signatures.
This issue has been discussed before but with new members always joining it has to be mentioned again.
Please do not put large photos of your or other vehicles as your signature.
It uses a lot of the forum's precious bandwidth and also very quickly fills up the topic page if the poster with a huge signature replies many times on the same page, it also becomes very boring and annoying especially if the picture is a bigger version of their avatar.
If you want to show off your car post nice big photos in the sticky topic

If you really feel there is a need to display an image other than an avatar please limit the image size to a few kilobytes.
