I've dreamed of owning a roadster since I was a kid. My dad used to take us to school in a 230SL and then in the larger 450 SL.
Mine is a 1996 SL500 that I picked up in Knoxville, TN over the weekend. 2 prior drivers and a mere 38,000 miles. And to think I was looking at the Acura TL a few weeks ago!!!
After driving an Acura Integra, yep, you heard me right, the power of the Mercedes is from heaven.
Hi folks
Pics of my SL500 bought yesterday in Hong Kong.
I have had a silver SL500 and loved it. I sold it when I moved to Australia a couple of years back. Moved back to Hong Kong now and just had to get a SL again.
If any other 'viewers' live in HK I'm interested to buy a panoramic roof (prefereably silver but can respray to suit).
Regards
Alan

How much is fuel per gallon/litre in Hong Kong? Just curious.
In your first picture it looks like there's a compartment in the back "jump seat" area behind the passenger seat and below where the soft top would be stored... what is that?
Enjoy your car!

Hi.
Fuel cost...pretty high compared with the US - HK prices about US$0.8 per litre (approx US$3.6 per gallon). If you think about it you wouldn't buy a 5 litre car
The 'compartment' is actually the handle for the jump seats - attached pic shows the back seats clearer.
