Someone recently did a photoshop picture of a grille with less slats (Erik I think).
If I hadn't managed to clean up my stained grille I might have considered one of these but I wouldn't buy one for the sake of it.

Funny that you brought this up actually, I've been somewhat excited about the MB new style grilles (such as this copy) but now looking at these verimexx pictures I think the grille looks quite, well, cheap to be honest. I'm sorry to say this aloud, particularly because I earlier though that the new style grille would look GREAT on the R129 as well, but these pics make it look cheap IMHO... And yes, it would definitely need the MB star...!

Maybe it's the pictures, maybe they should have taken some pics from a distance as well, and it would look better, don't know. I've actually considered buying a new style R230 or C-class SL style grille just to see how it looks and if i could mod it to fit the R129, to the point that I did some photoshopping here:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129...ml#post2377333

but now I'm not sure anymore to be honest. The original R129 grille is actually pretty nice and classy after all, all these new cars tend to be too much bling sometimes IMHO... :-)
