I have repaired all my cylinders except the ones for the roll bar by Dennis. Luis and Dennis was a great help throughout the process. The lower large cylinders took the most time because of had to remove the storage compartment and the back panels. When removing the lower cylinder be careful not to drop the lower bolt in to the frame. I used the following video clip link (Tail) to help to remove storage compartment. If you interesting in changing the cylinders yourself I can send you the information that Luis sent to me. Send me an email. Doing it myself save me a lot of money.
I am planing on doing it myself , but it would help if i had something to follow , i couldn't find the video BTW, if i can get it off hell ill either send to to be repaired or just by a new one , i just want to get this thing over with.

It is my understanding that this DIY is not for the 'faint of heart'. If you decide to move forward please take pictures and notes for a Forum DIY write up.
i watched at 3 vids and they show how to get to the bottom of the compartments , i can do that even in his 3rd vid after removing the compartment it doesnt show the equipment, such as the hydrological cylinder.
so ? any help ? any one? instructuions on how to take it off ?>
It's an easy job. The instructions for this procedure and anything else you may want to do on an R129 or any other M-B manufactured in the past 25 years are available with the Mercedes WIS software. You can buy a copy from an eBay seller in the U.K. for about $10. Even better is the R129 Tech DVD that you can order from MBUSA for $75.
I might just take it to someone and have theme do it for a few$$ dont want to deal with my car . I will rather take my engine out ant make it fit into an ENZO then work on electrical stuff and symbolical stuff on MY car.
I took the car to a shop to tell me how much it it will be to take out the cylinder and put in another one on both sides , he said"1200$ just for labor", i got in my car and drove off . Im going to buy a new set and would like to do it by myself and do the DYI on here , can anyone tell me what tools i will need to start this long process.?
I was fortunate enough to contact Dennis Ficken early on (as suggested by other forum members) when my cylinders were leaking in front of the rear tires. Save yourself some grief and contact Dennis. I cannot speak for Dennis but I'm sure he will help you throughout the repair process as he helped me and many others in this forum. Dennis is very professional, extremely detail oriented, super nice guy and he repairs the cylinders back to new condition, cheaply. All of our repairs should this easy and inexpensive. You can do it!!!
When you talk with Dennis, tell him SpeedDemon in Osage Beach said, "Thanks Again."
