Door check strap issues
Was having problems with a seat electrical fault that was also affecting my panel lights. I fixed it today while changing my door checkstrap. It had sheared at the two bolt flanges and had managed to chomp through five wires in the loom causing many crazy actions. It appears that although there should be three bolts holding the strap to the door there was one missing, unfotunately it is the one you cannot see unless you remove the door trim. Looks like it was never fitted and is not the first time i have seen this. Just thought i would let you guys know that it might be worth a check before you have the same problem
